Once a year, EDCO and the City of Imperial Beach host the I.B. Cleanup (for Imperial Beach Residents only). At this event, residents may dispose of unwanted items such as broken appliances, water heaters, furniture, old mattresses, and other miscellaneous household clutter.

South Bay Union School District Office parking lot, 601 Elm Avenue, Imperial Beach
Debris from contractors, landscapers or commercial businesses will NOT be accepted. We also will NOT accept trucks over one ton or trailers longer than 8 ft. in length. NO household hazardous waste and NO tires will be accepted!
Free Compost and/or Mulch! Once again, we will have compost and/or mulch available for self-load/self-haul at the clean-up event at no cost. Come early and bring a shovel to get your compost while it lasts! If you plan to haul your material in an open truck or trailer, please remember to bring a tarp to cover your material.
Donate Reusable Items! Goodwill will also be onsite to accept donated new and used clothing, shoes, kitchenware and home decor. Please click here for a list of items that Goodwill will not accept.
Help is Available for Seniors or Disabled Customers: Senior and disabled residential customers who are unable to transport trash to the cleanup can call (619) 287-7555 and schedule a pickup at their home. Deadline to schedule a home collection is April 24th. Items must be placed at the curb and are limited to five (5) bulky items per household.
The event is for Imperial Beach residents only. Proof of Imperial Beach Residency Required.
